Printing with a Gelli Plate is a fun and exciting way to make beautiful decorative papers that you can use to create cards, books, wrapping paper, art prints and more. The best part is that no two prints are alike so the variety of papers you can create is restricted only by your imagination. The class will teach you the basics of gelli printing, which are easy to master, and then you'll be encouraged to play, explore, and experiment with tools, stencils and masks that we'll make. You should go home with a stack of fabulous painted and printed papers, and lots of ideas for futher gelli printing adventures. Come prepared to get messy, play with paint, and have fun!
About the Instructor: Chris Goetze has been making art since she retired from the National Park Service and realized that she needed to rebalance her dominant left brain with some right brain activities. She fell in love with the Gelli Plate and its versatility the first time she tried it, and has been playing and making fabulous papers to use in her art ever since. She has taught Gelli Plate basics to a variety of groups and individuals, and continues to explore the possibilities of this awesome mono-printing tool.
