2024-2025 Public Art Projects
Moab Arts, a municipally funded Arts Center in the City of Moab, facilitates public art projects throughout the year. Four projects were accepted and installed or performed in the Spring of 2025.
SELECTED PROJECTS for the 2024/2025 YEAR:
RIZE RAVEN WINGS
Rebecca's design features Raven Wings, a symbol for transformation and remembrance. She hopes the mural resonates with both locals and visitors and inspires interaction and appreciation for Moab's stunning environment. Natali Zollinger, owner of RIZE Studios, was very excited to have the design painted onto the studio. For Natali, the Raven Wings and RIZE logo are a nod to her late older brother, Ryan, who was 'a shining light" and she hopes it helps empower those who visit the space.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Rebecca Pletsch is a professional artist and muralist from Utah, dedicated to creating fine art and large-scale murals that foster connection and enrich public spaces. Her work has been exhibited in every major museum and gallery in Utah, including the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Ogden Contemporary Arts, Rio Gallery, Kimball Art Center, and the Springville Museum of Art. Recognized by the Utah Arts and Museums Council, she has completed over 30 public art installations in universities, shopping centers, parks, and city spaces. Specializing in large-scale photorealism, Rebecca transforms ordinary and overlooked subjects into imaginative, interactive experiences. She believes public art is more than just visual—it’s about creating lasting memories and deepening people’s connection to a place. For this project, she brings her expertise in public art to craft a mural that resonates with Moab’s unique landscape and spirit.

Bridget Adams designed and installed a set of Kestrel Wings on the west side of the Summit Sotheby's Moab Real Estate Office on Center Street. Bridget has an extensive background in art in various mediums and has been tattooing since 2016.
"Kestrels are experts at finding their niche and thriving, and Moab is a place where myself and many others have found their calling. I hope this piece inspires others to feel at home in their power."

CITY PLANNING MURAL

Mural Mural by Tamar Phillips & Bradia Holmes at the Moab City Planning and Zoning Offices
Tiny, minute detailed art is the style of both Tamar Phillips and Bradia Holmes. Creating a mural that combined Tamar’s rich colors and whimsy style along with Bradia’s boxy little houses was an unexpected but welcomed opportunity for both artists. Working together to create a mural that pieces together the juxtaposition between the geometric shapes of industry and architecture, and the sweeping gentle lines of nature and art felt excitingly appropriate for the planning and zoning office. Between the edgy angles and the graceful contours, Bradia and Tamar hope you across a window or two of possibility on this modest wall in downtown Moab.
