Raku In The Desert

In January 2026, Desert Sun Ceramics hosted two raku workshops with internationally renowned ceramist and educator Vicente Garcia. Seven different raku techniques were explored, including smoke, obvara, foil smoke sagger, fuming, raku glaze firing, slip sagger, and slab sagger. Stop by The Press to celebrate unique creations from nine local potters, including Liz Ford, Joanne Savoie, Gee Wirt, Lauren Reed, MA Russell, Samantha Derbyshire, and Linn DeNesti. Their stunning pieces will be on display at The Press for Art Walk only.
