Winter Class: Beginning Oil Painting (2-day series)
An exploration into the fundamentals of oil painting. Learn how to set up your palette, choose a surface, choose paint colors, and begin painting. We will discuss and practice the basics of drawing, value structure, and color mixing. In class painting will include still life and perhaps landscape painting. Choosing and cropping images will be covered, as well as painting from photographs. Each class will begin with a presentation of concepts and will consist of practice and feedback. Any level of experience is welcome. Necessary materials will be provided.

COVID-19: In the interest of public safety, and due to a rapidly changing health environment, Moab Arts staff have amended the health and safety protocols for this year’s classes:
Classes will be held in one of the large rooms upstairs to allow for maximum social distancing.
Class sizes will not exceed 10 students.
Face coverings will be required indoors at all times.
We are monitoring state and local guidelines closely, and will continue to do so as class dates approach. If a class is cancelled, Moab Arts staff will reach out to students directly and full refunds will be given. Refunds may also be given upon request by students.
