1: Cold Dyeing (12/9, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.)
Practice, and learn the overarching concepts of small-batch cold dyeing techniques. We’ll use gradient methods to dye tea towels, preparing them for linocut carving and printing in the next session. 6 tea towels per person.
2. Linocut Print Design & Carving (12/16, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.)
Discover the basics of design principles for repeat patterns and carve a design into a linoleum block for stamping. We’ll focus on rotational symmetry to create a stamp used for floral and other patterns, which will be used in the following class.
3. Linocut Printing (12/17, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.)
