Jan 13, 6:00 PM – Jan 27, 8:00 PM
Moab Arts & Recreation Center, 111 E 100 N, Moab, UT 84532, USA
For those who love to play with fabric and color, this is a great chance to learn to sew an 18”x20” tote bag unique to your style! A great class for intermediate or beginning level students who are familiar with using a sewing machine. Bring your own machine (or rent one from Moab Arts) and we’ll make a bag in two evening sessions!
About the Instructor: Audrey Graham has loved sewing since she started at age nine in 4-H. She has worked and taught at quilt shops in Colorado and California and enjoys making wall hangings, quilts, clothing, gifts, and household items. Mostly she loves to play with color and sew for fun, not perfection!
Class will be held in the Stage Room
This class is two sessions on Friday evenings, from 6-8pm:
Materials for the tote will be provided, however you are requred to bring your own machine* so that you can learn on the system you have. We reccommend that you pull out your sewing machine, turn it on, and check it before the class to ensure that it is operational before you come to the sessions. We are using scraps and materials that already exist in our valley to make new functional items so if you have fabric that you would like to bring to use or share, please do!
*If you do not have a machine but are interested in taking the class, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
