Class Description:
Join Moab Arts and KikiBouba Press for a workshop making postcards and protest signs using traditional printing presses and techniques. Participants will work in groups to create their own ‘campaign signs’ that will be on display for the MARC’s exhibition titled ‘Community Voices’ to accompany the traveling Smithsonian exhibition ‘Voices & Votes: Democracy in America.”
Attendees will also be able to print their own postcard to send it to a friend, to your representative, or display on your fridge!
Typeset from Moab’s own Times Independent Press will be used, and participants will learn about the process and techniques that go into producing a newspaper for a small town.
All materials are provided.
