Professional Practices for Artists: How to Market your Craft and Refine your Vision

This 90 minute workshop will include breaking down the basics of professional practices for artists. We will go over how to write an artist statement, artist bio, the ins and outs of applying to juried shows, exhibitions and residencies, and introduce how to properly photograph/scan your work. Time will be spent workshopping the above topics as well as peer reviewing each other's work. Come prepared with a computer, tablet or pen and pencil to write with. The overall goal is to walk away with more confidence showcasing and/or selling your work, building the basics of a ready to submit portfolio and refining personal goals as an artist.
