Acerca del evento

This is a free workshop as part of the bi annual Moab Arts Reuse Residency. Participation will be limited to 5.

Participants will learn how to develop 35mm black and white film using organic products such as flowers, coffee, and bee pollen. Participants will have the opportunity to shoot their own roll of film and then develop it themselves. By the end of the workshop, participants will have the knowledge and experience to go on their own eco-friendly film journeys.

Participants are welcome to bring their own camera, though 35mm still black and white film, and a point-and-shoot camera will be provided.

Artist Statement: During my Moab Arts Re-Use Residency, I’ll be focused on using current eco-friendly and environmentally sustainable film development methodologies while developing new techniques through natural materials. I’ll be using material waste to create pinhole cameras which I’ll also be taking photos on and shooting with. The goal is to create both still and moving images using the environmentally friendly and sustainable film development practices, most importantly share them with community through workshops, and have fun making images!
