This is a free workshop as part of the bi annual Moab Arts Reuse Residency. Participation will be limited to 12.
The darkroom is one of the most important pieces to creating images you shoot with your camera. The darkroom can be anything from a completely set up space, to just a development tank and a change bag, or even a mobile space you can take with you wherever you shoot. In this darkroom workshop participants will learn the basics of what goes into making your own darkroom, history around the darkroom and developing film, and learn to develop images using a simple eco-friendly darkroom process. Participants are welcome to bring their own undeveloped black and white film, of all sizes to the workshop to learn to develop a still or moving image.
