Class Description: We will focus on the fundamental aspects of approaching figure painting using oil paint. The importance of studying and painting from life will be discussed, and a live model will be used in the second and third sessions. Drawing skills will be emphasized and students will be encouraged to paint with a limited color palette. The objective of the class is to become more familiar with, and comfortable, painting the figure. The hope is that students will become empowered to practice on their own and attend figure model sessions.
