This exhibition features stories that PBS KIDS | PBS Utah accepted from young Utah creators inspired by the theme “Animal Tales”

The purpose of this exhibition is to foster original visual art among Utah teenagers by providing a professional forum for student artists.

Utah artists present an entertaining and thought-provoking look at how everyone might be a player in the games around us.

“A glacial erratic is a glacially deposited rocks which differ from size and type native to the area which it rests. They are formed by glacial erosion, resulting from the movement of ice. Glaciers crack, gouge, or thrust pieces of bedrock and carry them, often over hundreds of miles. Erratics take their name from the Latin word errare, meaning 'to wander.’ They are hugely significant, they mark the path of prehistoric glacial movements as they can be traced back to their parent bedrock.”

The Utah Film Commission, in collaboration with the Utah Division of Arts & Museums has curated this extension of the 100 Years of Utah Film & Television exhibition that is currently available at the Utah State Capitol. The Utah All-State High School Art Show was established in 1971 to honor the best high school artists in the state for their talent, creativity, and dedication. The purpose of this exhibition is to foster original visual art among Utah teenagers by providing a professional forum for student artists. This exhibition is the result of an ongoing collaboration between the Springville Museum of Art, high school teachers, students, and various private partners.

This exhibition features winning art from the "She Started It" annual contest hosted by Utah women's history nonprofit Better Days.
